Three new statues were unveiled Sunday evening in Williamsport’s Market Square, including the 43rd President of the United States.
It’s part of a milestone anniversary of the Little League World Series.
To celebrate 75 years of the Little League World Series, the Williamsport Lycoming County Chamber of Commerce unveiled 3 new statues in market square: Cy Young, Jackie Robinson, and President George W. Bush.
“When I was playing little league baseball in the middle of Texas in the 1950s, never did I dream I would be so honored by little league baseball,” said President George W. Bush.
Hundreds of fans gathered to catch a first glimpse of the statues. One family traveled from Washington State for the series and were ecstatic to see President Bush in person.
