A local high school and its students in Portsmouth, New Hampshire recently went through a serious turn of events. The school was set to close and be torn down as of June, 2017, until a local group of heroes came in and saved the day. The entire school has been rebuilt since that point, and the grand opening is in May of this year, which is also the 150th anniversary of the school. Big Statues was recently inquired to make a magnificent, original piece for the grand opening of the newly redone school. The original custom statue is going to be made of white marble, rather than Big Statues' usual bronze material. The white marble statue is going to be of a life-size version of Mother Mary holding baby Jesus. The statue will represent the school and the miracle that happened when the school was able to saved.
